Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in southwestern Uganda, is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest and is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek itself unfolds among dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, mountain streams and steep ridges — a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose ecological richness makes this one of the most complete short safari experiences available anywhere in East Africa.
